Публикувам го, тъй като въпросният мошенник е виден образец за това как се спечелиха парите на сегашните банкери. Колкото до връзките му с ПИБ и Цеко Мине, дори не мисля, че е необходимо да коментирам. То не е ПЧБ, то не е ПФБК, то не са скандални догори в БДЖ, които странно много си приличат. Valentin Mollov claims to have started his business with a loan of BGN 1 mln, however he fails to point out who landed him this money. He is considered to have had especially close ties with the Bulgarian Communist Party leaders. He became famous in 1989, when he made efforts to promote the positive image of the Bulgarian businessman and millionaire. He came back to Bulgaria unexpectedly after a business exile in Austria. He claimed that he managed to triple the amount of the loan, therefore duly repaid it and developed his business.
He founded the Union for Private Economic Enterprise, Financial Investment Group Mollov and Mollov Bank. He is also one of the first shareholders and co-founders of First Private Bank.
Mollov Bank became Eurobank in 1994. In 1997 the Slovakian holding company ISTROCAPITAL purchased 85% of the bank’s equity. In 1999 Eurobank launched an SME lending programme with the German development bank KfW, which led to disbursement of over 4000 loans to SMEs to date. In 2003 PETROL AD, the largest public company in Bulgaria and also the largest gas station operator, hrough its owner Denis Ershov intended to acquire ISTROCAPITAL, but did not succeeded. On 02.11.2005 PIRAEUS BANK of Greece was officially listed as owner of 99.794 % of the shared capital.
His name figured in the list of credit millionaires. He is connected with around 30 firms, 12 of which have been closed. The activities of the rest are questionable, however most of them are operating and he is either a shareholder or a manager thereof. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Mollov Financial and Industrial Group and a co-shareholder of Samco Trading with Syrian nationals. He is a shareholder in Financial Brokerage House.
